The House Rules Cmte. met to discuss the rule for floor debate on the health care bill. Members heard from several panels of Representatives who introduced amendments to the legislation.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown spoke at the Royal College of Defense Studies in London on the British mission in Afghanistan. He warned Afghan President Hamid Karzai to clean up the corruption in his government or risk the loss of international support.
